  2. Great podcast! I really appreciate what Mousa shared, both in his words and his through his highly encouraging way of sharing. I was diagnosed with CML 7 1/2 years ago and my initial thoughts were that it was a “death sentence.”Thankfully, my doctor seemed very confident that I would be okay and prescribed dasatainib. The medicine worked great for the first 1 1/2 years and I hit MMR. However, I lost MMR after a few months and additional tests indicated the T315i mutation was present. Once again, I felt the dread that comes from this type of knowledge. So my doctor referred me to another doctor who put me on ponatinib. It took a little time but I again achieved MMR and the CML has now been undetectable for 3 1/2 years. I relate well to Mousa’s comments. Every day is a faith journey and also a day to be thankful for my wife, family, loved ones, and many friends.Thank you, Mousa and LLS for this inspiring podcast!

  3. Recently diagnosed with early stage CML in Sept 2024. Was on Imatinib for one month but taken off of it for a month(so far) because my platelet counts dropped way too low. My fear is life expectancy! Recently read that is 10 years, but listening to this gives me hope as he has lived 20 years with it already!
